Meet Our Swim Instructors
Barb LeBlanc – Swim Instructor
Barb is a highly experienced and compassionate swim instructor with over 40 years of teaching expertise. She holds a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology from California State University, Hayward, and is skilled in working with swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Her specialties include infant, child, and adult swim instruction, adaptive aquatics, water safety, stroke development, and drowning prevention. Barb is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment where every swimmer can build confidence and thrive in the water.
Whether you’re just starting out, looking to refine your strokes, or want to help your child gain lifelong water skills, Barb brings the knowledge, patience, and encouragement to help you reach your goals. Please note Barb teaches primarily semi privates and group lessons, she will work with you to book a lesson.

Coach Joey- Private Swim & Water polo
Joey grew up swimming in the South Bay and has spent the last 20 years both swimming and coaching. A Junior National qualifier in the 200m Butterfly, he brings experience competing at the national level.
As a coach, Joey is dedicated to helping each swimmer build confidence, discipline, and joy in the water. He is also a water polo coach and will be launching an introductory water polo program for us soon, details to come.
Coach Jenna- Private Dive Coaching
Jenna just completed her first season as Dive coach for the SHGC Tigers. Jenna is a student-athlete on the De Anza Community College Dive Team and has been involved in swimming and diving since middle school. She first dove with the Santa Clara Dive Club, competed for her high school team, and later reignited her passion for diving in college and currently dives at Stanford Dive Club.
She is studying childhood development with a focus on health and physiology and has over two years of experience coaching youth sports, from tennis and track & field to diving. Jenna’s goal as a coach is to help kids move safely, challenge themselves, and discover the excitement of diving fostering both active lifestyles and a lifelong love for the sport.
